ST. LOUIS, MO: Cosentry, a provider of IT solutions of Midwest Data Center Services, has joined hands with Applied Logic Inc. to manage and operate all hardware/applications essentially required to run its healthcare Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment. Cosentry, as a trusted partner has enabled Applied Logic to focus on continuing to innovate, manage the supply chain services with SSAE 16 security compliance and national scalability.

Based in St. Louis, MO., Applied Logic provides surgical service supply chain management systems for hospital clients around the globe. Presented as its flagship solution ‘AVATUS’ is supporting supply chain management for more than 150 hospitals nationwide. While expanding, the healthcare organization experienced enormous pressure for its more efficient performance, in the process of maintaining its operational costs to the low. Applied Logic’s efforts to implement a SaaS-based delivery model became the ultimate solution to address the need of this growing concern.

"It simply wasn't cost effective to manage and operate our own infrastructure and facilities while maintaining a strong focus on our core business," said Mike O'Brien, CTO, Applied Logic Inc. "We knew that in order to make the SaaS model work for us, we needed a partner to expertly run and manage our IT infrastructure," he added further.

To fulfill Applied Logic's software hosting needs, Cosentry built, and now manages the Applied Logic IT infrastructure on a private cloud platform. It met healthcare industry regulations by housing its IT systems and data in a SSAE 16 compliant facility. Also, a full team of IT experts and engineers are provided to collaborate on software and hardware needs to power optimum performance today and in the future.

With Cosentry's guidance, Applied Logic has been able to improve their working model performance and scalability while bringing no alteration in IT staffing levels. O'Brien elaborates, "The main benefit to our relationship is that it's afforded us the opportunity to provide our application through a technology delivery model that is current and strategically focused, without having to invest in additional resources or take our attention away from our core business."

Chris Scaglione, RVP, Cosentry, concurs, "By partnering with Cosentry for data center and managed IT services, healthcare organizations have the ability to cost-effectively establish new delivery models and ultimately the ability to scale and deliver improved performance and reliability to their clients."
