FREMONT, CA: Cox Communications, a broadband communications and entertainment company, in an effort to provide faster internet speed, launched its gigabit internet service under the brand name “G1GABLAST” for the residential customers in San Diego.

The gigabit speed will allow customers to run all of their devices such as laptops, tablets, smartphones, at the same time. Moreover, HD movies can be downloaded in less than 60 seconds and 100 songs in three seconds. The increased broadband speed will thereby deliver a more powerful home network.

The company claims that it is the first provider in San Diego to offer gigabit speeds to residential customers. Moreover, Cox announced that customers with the Ultimate Internet package will see their speeds double later this from 150Megabits per second to 300 Megabits per second.

Dave Bialis, Senior Vice President and Region Manager, Cox Communications' California operations, says, “We’re excited to once again be on the forefront of bringing the latest technology to our customers, and we'll continue investing in our network and our community."
