CPI collaborates with Sunbird to Unveil Cobranded Version of Power IQ

FREMONT, CA: Chatsworth Products a company specializing in data center thermal management and physical infrastructure announced its partnership with Sunbird Software, a global IT solutions provider in data centre realm.

The alliance aims to develop a cobranded version of Power IQ that will offer compatibility with CPI eConnect rack-mount Power Distribution Units (PDUs) including discovery, data collection, power control, and outlet naming and information presentation. As per the agreement, Chatsworth Products handle the marketing and selling of Power IQ globally. The collaborative solution will empower data center managers to monitor data center power, report PUE, bill for energy and manage power capacity. Power IQ can be deployed along with Sunbird's dcTrack DCIM software or as a standalone Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Solution for monitoring.

Power IQ for eConnect, provides a common platform to easily track the performance of data centers—monitoring critical infrastructure devices including CPI's eConnect PDUs, and many other manufacturers' CRACs, UPS, PDUs, RPPs, Meters, Branch Circuits, Racks, Rack PDUs and Environment Sensors.

According to Ted Behrens, VP of Global Engineering, Product Management & Marketing for CPI, the combination of eConnect with monitoring capabilities of Power IQ will empower CPI’s customers to optimize power efficiencies throughout the data center.
