EDISON, NJ: Customized Distribution Services (CDS), a national provider of third-party logistics and warehousing services, has announced the expansion of its warehousing capabilities with the addition of a bonded warehouse operation for a new international client under the jurisdiction of the Department of Homeland Security U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The 65,000 sq. ft. ambient storage, bonded warehouse facility is located in Edison, New Jersey.

Because the storage and distribution of bonded products is carefully regulated by the Department of Homeland Security U.S. Customs and Border Protection, a bonded warehousing operation requires CDS to maintain rigorous training, manage permits for storing and transporting bonded products, and implement stringent security controls. CDS employed its sophisticated inventory management systems in order to create an ideal environment to control inventory in a manner that exceeds these stringent requirements.

“CDS is proud to deliver optimum storage conditions for our client’s operations under the jurisdiction of the CBP,” states John Sanacore, president and CEO of CDS. “The Edison facility is yet another example of our dedication to developing uniquely tailored warehousing and logistics services for any industry.  In this instance, our team worked very hard to develop a solution that exceeds the controls required by the regulatory authorities without compromising operational efficiencies.  I’m proud to say that we, once again, lived up to our name.”
