WILMINGTON,DE: Cybele Software, a solution designer for enterprise information access and systems integration announces the release of Thinfinity VirtualUI version 1.1, reviving the software’s architecture and enhancing the availability, scalability and fault tolerance.

Thinfinity VirtualUI is a software solution that enables developers to add user interface web remoting to their Windows applications. Typically, by adding one line of code to the application's project, a user can transform a Windows Application into a cross-platform one, enabling it to run as usual on Windows or as a Web application when installed under a Thinfinity VirtualUI Server environment.

The latest release adds two new components- a VirtualUI Gateway Service and a VirtualUI Broker Service to the current architecture of the software .The VirtualUI Gateway Service redirects http and websockets traffic to VirtualUI Servers. The VirtualUI Gateway, with the help of the VirtualUI Broker is created to efficiently distribute the load among all registered servers. The VirtualUI Broker Service balances the load across servers and between all open sessions. It will also be responsible for opening new Windows sessions when needed.

The new modules provide access to the VirtualUI applications by allowing server instances to run in different RDS (Remote Desktop Services) sessions on the same machine and by providing equal permission to different physical servers. The software now includes assistance for multiple RDS sessions. This new feature increases the number of applications that can be run per server.

The company claims that enabling workload distribution across multiple servers has many advantages. They say that the load balancing procedure will allow developers to achieve optimal resource utilization and avoid overload and permits the system to operate properly even when certain components fail.

Thinfinity VirtualUI currently supports two different Load Balancing schemes- Gateway/Broker Load Balancing and External Load Balancer + Multiple VirtualUI Gateways. The External Load Balancer will rotate across VirtualUI Gateways. Each VirtualUI Gateway will in turn process the connections and balance them among all the available servers.

“This is the first of many notable additions we have in the works, we will continue increasing Thinfinity VirtualUI’s performance”, says Gustavo Ricardi, President and CEO, Cybele Software.
