Cybernetics Upgrades Image-Pro Insight, Adds New Automated Measuring Tools and One Click Capture
ROCKVILLE, MD: Media Cybernetics, a developer of image analysis and image processing software, has released Image-Pro Insight Version 9, an upgraded version of its Image analysis software which comes with new automated measuring tools and one click capture.
This software’s Image Capture feature streamlines the workflow, simplifies the process of capturing high-quality image and supports a wide range of cameras. Contributing towards the process of improving image quality, the High Dynamic Range (HDR) tool helps in accurately capturing lighting variations by creating a single image out of a sequence of images with different exposures and the image compare tool allows the user to compare two related images and this feature works for live, as well as previously captured images.
The upgraded version’s Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) filter which is used to extract forensic evidence facilitates the isolation and editing of repetitive noise patterns in images, while Memory Monitor and AutoSave functions enable one click monitoring of memory usage and the automatic saving of user’s work in case of a system failure.
Cybernetics’ new software provides semi-automated measurement and editing Tools like the Magic Wand tool which helps in quick selection of segment object areas. Polygon Nudge Tool allows the user to adjust the shape and size, and measure irregular Regions of Interest (ROIs). The Image analysis software’s Merge and Close tools, Grow and Shrink options add to its measurement tools. It also provides for the use of pre-formatted data types by importing them according to task requirements.
“The newly added prompts, warnings, and visual cues minimize user error and accelerate workflow. These include non-calibrated images, image magnification and zoom levels and dynamic feedback during measurement drawing, among others. Designed to be easily deployed as a multiple-user platform both in industrial and academic settings, Insight’s intuitiveness shortens the learning curve,” says Nick Beavers, Global Sales and Marketing Manager, Media Cybernetics.
