The alliance combines the Databricks Lakehouse Platform with Prefect's insight into data operations for improved dependability and confidence.

Fremont, CA: These days, data visualization is the most popular issue among enterprises. Businesses today have access to mounds of data that are a veritable treasure of information. Once properly interpreted, the information may be beneficial for individuals to make more informed judgments. Therefore, utilizing the most recent trends in data visualization is essential for accomplishing the same goals.

Prefect Technologies, the company behind the open-source data workflow automation platform Prefect, collaborated with Databricks, the Data and AI company, to enable data engineers, data scientists, and analytics engineers to automate dataflows for even the most data-intensive organizations and applications.

Organizations will have better control and trust in their processes due to the lakehouse's capacity to integrate multiple resources throughout the current data stack. The Databricks Lakehouse System combines the finest features of data lakes and data warehouses, allowing customers to consolidate their data, analytics, and AI while building on open source technologies and maintaining a consistent platform across clouds. When combined with Prefect's data workflow orchestration platform, data teams will benefit from improved performance, dependability, and insight into their data.

"As the Databricks Lakehouse Platform becomes the hub of data-driven organizations, workflow orchestration ensures that accurate, reliable data is ready for critical use cases – with minimal human intervention," said Roger Murff, VP of Technology Partners at Databricks. "Prefect saves data engineers time, offering end-to-end visibility and increasing confidence in the accuracy and availability of data."

Prefect enables customers transitioning to Databricks to work with tools throughout the data stack and operate across various infrastructures at the same time. Furthermore, data engineers may utilize all the tools they are already using while writing in Python.

"Through the Databricks and Prefect integration, we are able to automate our workflows with greater efficiency than ever before," said Elizabeth Hollinger, Director of Insights, Aggreko. "We have greater confidence in our data's performance and have raised productivity through the unmatched visibility Prefect provides."

The collaboration between Prefect and Databricks is motivated by the organizations' common objective of providing developers with freedom and open-source assistance.

"As data engineers encounter a growing number of tools across the stack, we're excited to add Databricks as a partner to help companies continue to coordinate their dataflows," said Jeremiah Lowin, CEO of Prefect. "Databricks' validation of Prefect's technology also helps further our growth as the leading dataflow automation platform."
