Dell Revamps Precision Tower Workstations to Provide Optimal VR Experience

ROUND ROCK,TX: Dell, an end-to-end computing solutions company, announces new Virtual Reality ready solutions that features redefined criteria for optimal VR experience, creating VR content. The minimum system hardware configuration supports an optimal VR experience for professional with HTC Vive or Oculus Rift VR solutions.

Dell works closely with hardware and software partners to deliver VR-Ready Solutions that are optimized for consumption and creation alongside mainstream professional ISV applications. The VR-Ready solutions are defined using graphic drivers, qualified to work reliably with VR solutions and test criteria based on HMD (head-mounted display) suppliers, ISVs or 3rd party benchmarks, passing performance tests.

The latest Dell Precision Tower Workstations, with new increased performance, graphics, and memory for VR content creation, meets the needs of professional creators and provides a perfect foundation for Virtual reality content and commercial visualization. Intel Broadwell EP processors is integrated with Dell Precision Tower 5810, 7810, 7910, and Rack 7910 workstations to enhance performance for multi-threaded applications. The upgrades are ideal for professional modeling, analysis, and calculations.

Additional upgrades comprises of revamped graphic technology from AMD and NVIDIA, Dell Precision Ultra speed PCIe that runs at 2400MHz speed and 1TB of DDR4 memory. It also provides further 4 x performances than traditional SATA SSD storage. The enhancements include Dell Precision optimizer that elevates productivity and overall performance by automatically tuning user’s workstation for 22 professional application profiles. Dell has also expanded its liquid cooling offerings to improve systems acoustics up to 38 percent.
