Dell Rolls Out New Enterprise Endpoint Security Solution

FREMONT, CA: Taking the Internet security a notch higher, Dell, the leading computer technology company has recently launched Dell Data Protection | Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise—a brand new security suite. This new security solution will ensure safety of computer system by verifying the post-boot BIOS, reports Misco. 

The suite facilitates proactive interception of numerous malware and advanced threats by integrating Cylance technology and using machine learning and artificial intelligence. 

Users ready to buy it will have the endpoint security functionality integrated in their devices, including all the commercial PCs, announced the company.

Elaborating the working process of the new security suite, the company revealed that the endpoint security solution uses a secure cloud-based environment to "compare and test an individual BIOS image against the official measurements held in the Dell BIOS lab."

The new functionality will made be available initially to Dell’s commercial PCs with a 6th Generation Intel chipset.

"The growing complexity of BIOS-specific attacks, and with new malware variants possessing the ability to reinstall themselves within the BIOS, organizations need a more sophisticated way to know that their systems have not been compromised.” said, Brett Hansen, Executive director for Data Security Solutions, Dell. 

"Dell's unique post-boost BIOS verification technology for its commercial PCs gives IT the assurance that employees' systems are secure every time they use the device, making them the most secure in the industry." he added.

In addition to this, Dell also reveals that this security suite is the only endpoint security suite to be powered by Cylance technology and artificial intelligence for detecting advanced threats. 

With traditional anti-virus solutions offering an efficacy of 50 percent, Dell claims that its new enterprise endpoint security solution possesses an accuracy of 99 percent.
