Denodo Platform 5.5 Gets Certified Integration with SAP NetWeaver Technology Platform
PALO ALTO, CA: Denodo, provider of data virtualization software, has announced that its Denodo Platform version 5.5 has received SAP-certified integration with the SAP NetWeaver technology platform by the SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC).
The Denodo Platform for data virtualization delivers a logical data abstraction layer for distinct mixed repositories, which produces integrated business data in real time as needed by consuming applications, business processes, and analytics or business users.
With this integration, organizations can run complex distributed queries across different repositories without any need of moving huge amounts of data across the network.
SAP ICC has also certified the addition of Denodo Platform 5.5 with the SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW) 7.4 application, where it can access metadata and master data of objects, as well as transactional data, in SAP BW. Enterprises can also run SAP BW, resulting in accelerated access to a unified view of data for their enterprise business intelligence applications. The integration also enables businesses to easily assimilate data from SAP BW with data from other sources, like enterprise applications, Apache Hadoop, NoSQL databases, Salesforce.com applications by using a virtual data abstraction layer to avoid physically moving the data.
“Increasingly, business users are using data virtualization for agile BI projects to quickly and directly access data from heterogeneous operational and analytical systems. Using the Denodo Platform, customers can significantly minimize replication by building ‘virtual data marts’ that are defined in the data virtualization layer, and avoid the creation of new physical repositories and even more copies of the data,” comments Ravi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer of Denodo.
