Dialogic Announces Availability of PowerMedia XMS 3.1
PARSIPPANY, NJ: Dialogic has announced the general availability of Dialogic PowerMedia XMS Release 3.1. PowerMedia XMS 3.1 is an upgrade of the company's media server/media resource function (MRF) that makes migration to a PowerMedia XMS platform easier for users of both competitor and legacy Dialogic platforms. Dialogic is a cloud-optimized solutions provider for real-time communications media, applications, and infrastructure to service providers, enterprises, and developers around the globe.
Dialogic's PowerMedia XMS is a highly scalable, software-only media server that enables standards-based, real-time multimedia communications solutions for IMS, MRF, enterprise, and WebRTC applications on premise or in the cloud. PowerMedia XMS is trusted by world-class service providers and large enterprises to power millions of rich media sessions. Some of the notable enhancements in 3.1 include features for JSR309 API control, enhanced conference applications, transaction recording for compliance and training in contact centers, and additions to enable initiating outbound calling.
"After evaluating the enhancements found in PowerMedia XMS 3.1, I envision the numerous new capabilities as being quite helpful in building advanced applications," said Christopher R. Wilder, Practice Lead and Senior Analyst of Cloud Services and Enterprise Applications at Moor Insights & Strategy, a global technology analyst, advisory and consulting firm. "Businesses are making significant investments in employee collaboration, and Dialogic continues to lead the industry with innovations in scalable software-based media servers."
"We see Dialogic being positioned as an even stronger competitor for IMS, VoLTE, and RCS applications with this release of PowerMedia XMS 3.1," said Jim Machi, Senior VP Product Management and Marketing at Dialogic. "Many of the enhancements make PowerMedia XMS a 'drop-in' replacement, positioning it as superior to similar MRF software products and providing a full-function software-only solution that scales to meet many customer needs."
