Dialogic's PowerMedia XMS Supports Virtualization of XO Communications' Hosted Voice Applications

PARISPPANY, NJ: Dialogic, a provider of telecom infrastructure products and solutions will be offering its scalable and software-driven media server ‘Dialogic PowerMedia XMS’ to XO Communications- a distributer of managed and converged Internet Protocol (IP) network services to support virtualization for their hosted voice applications.

XO products consolidates voice, Internet access and private data networking for small and medium-sized companies as well as delivers fiber-based Ethernet services.

Dialogic aims to accelerate the performance of media-rich communications across the most advanced networks. Its product portfolio includes media servers, gateways, softswitches, fax boards and bandwidth optimization solutions.

Dialogic’s PowerMedia XMS enables real-time multimedia communications solutions in mobile and broadband environments, while minimizing development and operational costs. It supports Standards compliant IMS MRF with full Voice over LTE and Video over LTE, HD audio and video media with 3GPP and W3C WebRTC codecs and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS), virtualization and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) deployment models. It also features robust Web-based GUI and HTTP RESTful Management interface to manage, control and monitor media server management, scalable licensing from ten ports to thousands of ports per server and optional PowerMedia Media Resource Broker (MRB).

PowerMedia XMS advanced multimedia processing functionalities facilitate trans-coding gateways and allow communication service providers to pay for features they need and use. Additionally its IMS specifications capabilities promote compatibility between legacy telephony networks and evolving IP telecommunication standards. It also reduces OPEX and CAPEX by utilizing existing datacenter infrastructure and cloud services for deployment of dynamically scalable communication solutions.
