THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN: Digi-Key Electronics, a full-fledged service provider of electronic components announced its plan to take up the distributional rights of Vicor Corporation’s family of product suite.

The high density PFM AC-DC front-end module is rugged through package that offers superior cooling performance and flexibility in converter mounting.

The new module features a universal AC input range from 85 to 264 VAC, power factor correction, and a fully isolated 24 VDC or 48 VDC output that delivers 400 Watt of isolated, regulated, DC output with 93 percent power efficiency.

With an unparallel power density of 127 W/in , the product also offers enhanced performance to support a broad range of industrial, process control, telecommunications, office equipment, test and measurement, LED lighting and other “off-line” applications processes.

“PFM AC-DC front-end modules in the VIA package provide designers with a quick and easy pathway to a high-performance, high-density AC-DC front-end solution, while eliminating the uncertainties and long design cycles associated with a custom front-end design,” asserted Rob Russell, Vicor’s Vice President of Vicor Power Systems.

The new PFM AC to DC front-end module finds compatibility with wide variety of available downstream power conversion components. Digi-Key clients facilitate the designing of complete source, to load power system effortlessly by leveraging on Vicor’s modular power components Design methodology.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to distribute Vicor’s new PFM front-end modules to our global customer base,” explicates Tom Busher, VP and Global I P & E at Digi-Key.
