Digium Releases Switchvox Cloud 6.0 with Low-Cost Metered Option
HUNTSVILLE, AK: Digium, an enterprise provider of hardware and software products enabling telephony applications, has announced Switchvox Cloud 6.0, an updated version of cloud-based Unified Communication service. Switchvox is now available with a low-cost metered option. Further, it lowers the cost of hosted cloud communications. The offer is mainly targeted at customers that have much lower usage patterns but still want the capabilities of a business class phone service.
“Companies with variable call volumes, due to seasonality or other events, can save money by paying for only the minutes they use. It’s the perfect complement to our current Switchvox Cloud unlimited minutes offering for users with more consistent call volumes," says Channing Hinkle, Product Manager, Switchvox Cloud.
Switchvox Cloud 6.0, being the updated version, is built on top of an open source platform, Asterisk 13. It offers efficient performance and call handling features. With the call control and call visibility widgets, Switchvox enhances the user experience. The administrative tools of Switchvox Cloud are made simple to manage by giving the freedom of customizable and sharable switchboard layouts.
“The release marks a milestone in the evolution of Switchvox by leveraging the capabilities in the latest version of Asterisk and the ongoing contributions of the Asterisk community to introduce new, powerful features,” says Adam Kramer, Product Manager, Switchvox.
