DNA Payments Announces Acquisition of Active Merchant Services

DNA Payments Group (DNA) has acquired Active Merchant Services that takes the client base of DNA to c. 30,000 merchants and 57,000 terminals in the United Kingdom and EU. 

FREMONT, CA: A fast-growing vertically integrated payments firm, DNA Payments Group (DNA), has acquired Active Merchant Services (also known as Active Payments), an independent distribution agency based in the UK with more than 2,500 merchants. This acquisition takes the client base of DNA to c. 30,000 merchants and 57,000 terminals in the United Kingdom and EU, with actual transaction processing volumes of more than £ 5.5 billion per annum. The deal marks DNA's third acquisition over the last 14 months as it plans to grow further in its major markets, with more additions expected for this year in different payment value chain categories.

In London and Manchester, DWF offered DNA Payments with legal transactional support for the purchase, and EY provided support for the deal's financial and tax aspects.
