DST Releases an Add-on Module to SimWise 4D: SimWise V9.7
CANTON, MI: Design Simulation Technologies (DST)—a developer of software products used by students, educators, and professionals to learn and teach physics principles—announced the availability of their new module SimWise V9.7. The module is an add-on to SimWise 4D that uses the stress/strain history calculated as part of a combined Motion and FEA analysis to determine the fatigue life of a component.
This release continues to extend the Optimization, FEA, CAD Integration, and Interoperability capabilities of the product. SimWise conveys 3D kinematic and dynamic movement simulation firmly combined with 3D Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Optimization in a single, affordable package integrated with driving CAD frameworks permitting central building inquiries, for example, "Does it work?" and "Will it break?" and "By what means would it be able to be improved?", and with the arrival of SimWise Durability, "To what extent will it last?", to be replied. Knowing the response to these inquiries right on time in the outline cycle permits vital changes to be made at the most financially savvy time without experiencing the costly and tedious strides of building a physical model, testing it, and updating it.
The other major capabilities of SimWise also include Fatigue Life calculations with add-on durability Module, optimization using results from 3D Dynamic Motion simulation, ability to read CAD data from Catia V5, NX, Creo/Elements, and associative interfaces with SolidWorks.
