ISLIP TERRACE, NY: A makeover is in place for Hosted PBX, with the recent acquisition of Florida-based Voitual, the providers of cloud hosted Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone service by Diverse Technology Solutions (DTS).The VoIP telephony service will now be popularly known as DTS-VOIP. Headquartered in New York, DTS is a cloud based hosting service provider and the new company is empowered to control all the assets of Voitual. Rebranding the service as a DTS-VOIP implies addition of another cloud product to the array of DTS’s cloud hosting solutions.

DTS holds a 51 percent stock ownership position in DTS VOIP, with the share of Voitual’s founding members alone amounting to 49 percent ownership position. Voitual’s client base, all intellectual property and infrastructure supporting the hosted VoIP telephony environment are what constitute the asset purchase. "Our cloud service revenue has grown 300percent in the past 2 years. We believe that adding a cloud hosted voice service to our portfolio of products uniquely positions us as a complete provider catering to clients that want one finger to point at for all of their cloud hosting voice or data needs," stated Ken Blume, CTO, DTS. Voitual would also be able to leverage the existent infrastructure and capital investments of DTS to provide an affordable cloud hosted UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) the customers.

This engagement took about 6 months of planning on behalf of both the company’s management teams. The decision to expand DTS’ offerings by adding a cloud hosted voice solution came easy as cloud services make up to 65 percent of DTS revenue. The new product compliments DTS’ hosted email, virtual desktop, and server offerings.

Voitual’s merger with DTS will help them realize the value of organization and set them up for future endeavors. Their Mitel based hosted voice platform has popularly reached South Florida market and partnering with DTS opens up the northeast market as well, allowing cross-selling of services.  Voitual’s technical expertise allows DTS VOIP to develop cutting edge applications and easily integrate their UC platform with DTS's virtual desktop solution.
