DVTEL's United VMS Advances Video Surveillance and Security
RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ: DVTEL, a video surveillance solutions provider releases a Video Management System (VMS) platform, United VMS 7.0 as a cyber-defended video surveillance solution.
A VMS will deliver intelligent software for the operations and functions related to Video Surveillance hardware on an IP backed network. Through this feature, an opportunity is created to integrate other components of corporate security program as well. The version delivers high quality surveillance recordings and rapid search by integrating with security devices and business systems to offer the flexibility of running multiple cameras on the same network.
United VMS 7.0 will provide a global unified network topology. It will allow users to connect to multiple sites and systems by utilizing Latitude, Horizon, and Meridian to an aggregated system that can be controlled and monitored from a single location. The solution is equipped with advanced adaptive streaming technology that automatically obtains the optimal stream resolution from the installed cameras. The footages are based on the viewing tile size and zoom level to achieve significant savings in bandwidth and workstation process load. The adaptive streaming allows an increased number of viewing tiles on the client machine, reducing the overall deployment costs, the company claims.
User interface enhancements have been made to include the EZ Client web interface. The EZ Client web interface delivers remote access to Latitude, Horizon, and Meridian thereby enabling system control from any location. It is optimized for touch functionality and allows access to the system through a web browser without requiring any preinstalled software on the client machine. The thumbnail-based navigation allows operators to browse through recorded footage, search for forensic evidence and export video files.
The latest launch is equipped with IP-mmune Cyber Defense Suite that protects critical customer data and assets from unauthorized or malicious IT threats. Designed to proactively identify potential IT threats at any point of vulnerability and prevent them from creating damage, IP-mmune Suite’s PORTection feature is a network access control solution that monitors and ensures that all devices connected to the video network are identified, authenticated and comply with the organization’s security policies.
