Editshare Unveils Flex Cloud Solution To Offer Remote Working Benefits
EditShare FLEX will enable its customers to make remote working possible without the risk of losing their crucial content.
Fremont, CA: “EditShare began leading the industry's shift to the cloud a few years ago by expanding many of its existing core product capabilities ‘openness, interoperability and scale’ to the cloud,” commented Stephen Tallamy, EditShare’s CTO. “EditShare FLEX is the result of these investments and we’re excited to show the industry how it can greatly simplify how their teams may choose to work.” EditShare, the leader in technology that enables storytellers to design and manage collaborative media workflows, will introduce its new FLEX cloud solutions at NAB2022 (Las Vegas Convention Center, 24-27 April, booth N3008). This collection of robust media asset management and storage software solutions makes it simple for enterprises of all sizes to leverage cloud services and processes to their full potential.
FLEX highlights the major business trends in post today, such as the migration to a work anywhere environment, with material readily available wherever the creative team needs to be. Adopting cloud storage and processing also satisfies the shift toward an OpEx financial model, with hosting and storage prices that vary based on business volume.
FLEX Cloud Edit will lead the new projects. It enables media asset management, high-performance software-defined storage, and virtual workstations on the AWS cloud in its most basic form. The true beauty of FLEX is that it provides a robust but entirely open hosting environment, allowing users to choose their preferred editing tools.
FLEX Cloud Edit+ incorporates CloudDat, a file transfer application developed by Data Expedition Inc., to enable quicker file transfers. It also offers extensive workstation management using Teradicis Cloud Access Manager, all of which is closely integrated into a simple, single-sign-on EditShare environment.
FLEX Sync enables the synchronization of content between local EFS arrays and cloud-based archive storage providers. By automating backup to the cloud, EditShare FLEX Sync facilitates the retirement of LTO tape libraries and the acquisition of the vast resiliency and availability offered by leading cloud providers. As needed, a FLEX Cloud Edit system can be spun up utilizing all of a client's FLEX sync backup content.
