Electroneum Partners with LockTrip
Electroneum expands its ETN ecosystem to include flights and accommodation at very low costs.
FREMONT, CA: Electroneum becomes the first cryptocurrency startup to partner directly with LockTrip, the European blockchain-based travel website providing discounts of up to 60 percent at over 2.1 million holiday accommodations in about 190 countries. LockTrip will list ETN as a direct payment choice on 13 November when Electroneum's 4.1 million registered customers can begin booking flights and accommodation worldwide. Electroneum and LockTrip have signed an agreement on a $1,000 giveaway on the day of the release.
LockTrip is an ecosystem and marketplace where consumers can search, find, book hotel rooms, and other accommodation worldwide. It is the first platform to enable customers and property owners to manage with each other without fees. Payment with ETN on LockTrip is seamless than using a credit or debit card. Users have to simply go to checkout and click on the ETN icon, and it will immediately prompt with a QR code that is compatible with the Electroneum wallet. LockTrip enables payments with credit or debit cards and several cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum.
According to a Cointelegraph article, LockTrip helped users save up to 17 percent when booking hotels in Europe and about 23 percent in the United States. LockTrip noted that famous websites like Airbnb or Booking.com charge hotels a 15 to 30 percent commission, which later affects guests' final price.
LockTrip has an affiliate system that can secure those who register an income for life. Everyone person referred will be accredited as the referral for life and will generate a 3 percent passive income on all of the bookings made with LockTrip. LockTrip is part of a recent breed of businesses known as DAOs (decentralized autonomous organizations). It is paving the way for an alternative 'trust-based' business model that can disrupt some of today's dominant disrupter. DAOs are laying the foundation for the latest trust-based business models that return data control to customers and share profits more equitably.
