Engineered Stuff Launches Webcaster for iOS
SCOTTSDALE, AZ: Engineered Stuff, creator of valuable, useful, and delightful apps for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch has launched Webcaster for iOS, a live audio webcasting system used to broadcast live audio directly from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.
Unlike the already existing audio streaming services that require set-up, maintenance and servers to distribute content to end users, the webcastor for iOS which is simple to use as the audio captured by the mobile device microphone is directly transmitted to a cloud- based internet media server system, and then directly to listeners on the internet.
According to Ben Sisario, a New York Times reporter, bands were previously improvising ways to stream live shows. “...for the most part, only big festivals and promoters have had the resources to send as-it-happens audio over the Internet.”
“At Engineered Stuff, we're passionate about creating valuable, useful apps for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Whether it's audio apps like Webcaster, iEQ, or Stereo Mic Tools, or handy apps like Protractor Cam and Camping List. Our apps have gained “1st screen” status on iOS devices around the world,” states the company.
