Enhanced Stratus ADS-B Receivers Expected to be the Third Eye of Pilots

ForeFlight delivers solutions for flight planning, charts, aviation weather, airport information, document management, synthetic vision, and more for pilots on air and ground.

The two new models of Stratus, 1S and 2S with pilot-friendly design enables improved performance across the board, including better ADS-B reception, enhanced thermal capabilities, and a next generation power connector.

The models incorporate unique features, Stratus 1S is a low cost receiver with single-band ADS-B traffic, enhanced ADS-B reception, Stratus Replay platform, a feature that allows iPad screen to sleep without missing a weather report and latest USB Type C connector for charging. While, Stratus 2S puts forth an enhanced ForeFlight Mobile experience for single-pilot IFR operations;its major functions comprises of a built-in barometric pressure sensor, integrated Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS), flight data recording, a dual-band traffic receiver, and Stratus Replay.ForeFlight Mobile’s Pressure Altitude instrument and Cabin Altitude Advisor alert notifies the pilot at higher altitudes paving a better way for safer fly whereas the AHRS provides a backup attitude display.

The models extends a simple-to-use, pocket-sized, portable wireless receiver with ability to turn iPad into a flight tool. By integrating into ForeFlight Mobile, the platform benefits the pilots with subscription-free weather, GPS information, back up attitude and ADS-B traffic.
