
E.ON to Deploy Allegro Horizon to Entrust Customer Solution Business
LONDON, UK: Allegro Development Corporation, a provider of commodity management software, announced that E.ON has selected Allegro Horizon to support the management and growth of its sales and renewable resources business.
E.ON, an international energy supplier has defined a new strategic direction to its business. It will deploy Allegro Horizon for increased efficiencies in energy procurement, portfolio hedging and risk management with scalability for growth to quickly identify and capture emerging market opportunities. Several market commodity management providers were evaluated for selection, and Allegro was chosen on the basis of its out-of-the-box functional fit and business process support. Other features like architectural consistency, cloud readiness and a proven ability to implement in relevant markets with scalability for growth contributed to Allegro’s selection.

In response to a fundamentally changed market environment E.ON has its sights on becoming an energy solutions provider to address the hardships encountered. The transitioning energy landscape has detected a transformation in the demands of its retail customers. There’s a global insistence for renewable energy resources, particularly wind and solar, and the evolution of distributed networks into a platform for distributed energy solutions is now a priority.
