ESX Closing Keynote to Focus on School Safety
Heartfelt Panel to Outline Actionable Steps for Playing a Larger Role in Keeping Children and Communities Safer
Nashville, TN: ESX will focus its final Main Stage session on enhancing school security during the Closing Keynote Luncheon, starting at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, June 22. A mixed panel comprised of industry representatives will address the recurrence of violence in our schools, and ways to bring a safer learning environment for children.
The three panelists are all passionate about improving school safety and security, and each member was chosen for their unique perspective. Together, they will convey the possibility for change, in response to what seems to be a growing threat to public safety.
Ryan Petty, an experienced telecom and technology professional, lost his daughter, Alaina, in the February shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. He is an advocate for improving school safety through community action and public policy.
Guy Grace is an end-user, serving as Director of Security and Emergency Planning for Littleton Public Schools.
Brian Thomas serves as President and CEO of A3 Communications, and has extensive experience installing security systems for various school districts.
“This topic is complex and emotional, and a strong community is required to raise the level of awareness and security in our schools, so all children can be safe and secure while they learn,” says George De Marco, ESX Chairman.
This diverse panel will discuss practical ways integrators can strategize with schools and universities to take a multifaceted approach to ensure safety and peace of mind for children, educators and parents.
The Closing Keynote Luncheon is one of four Main Stage events at ESX intended to educate, energize and inspire audiences to elevate their personal and professional lives. Off the Main Stage, there are four educational tracks for professionals to explore, each filled with peer-led seminars on carefully vetted industry and business topics.
The Closing Keynote Luncheon is endorsed by media sponsor Security Sales & Integration.
Premium Passes, the event’s all-inclusive registration type, are priced at $299 for a limited time — to allow companies large and small to invest in the development of their leadership teams. Visit ESXweb.com to register or to learn more.
