ExaGrid Partners with OffsiteDataSync to Deliver Cost-effective Disaster Recovery Solution
WESTBOROUGH, MA: In a move to solve the issues of customers regarding the commonly deployed Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, ExaGrid, provider of disk-based backup storage, and OffsiteDataSync, provider of data retention, disaster recovery and hosted cloud computing services, have entered into a strategic partnership.
Under this partnership, OffsiteDataSync delivers ExaGrid Disaster Recovery as a Cloud Service to its customers. Also, the new disaster recovery solution, which is WAN efficient and supports Veeam Availability Suite software at either the customer’s onsite data center or at OffsiteDataSync’s strategically located Tier IV data centers, leverages ExaGrid’s backup storage appliances.
“Disk crashes, power failures and human error, as well as natural and manmade disasters, are very real and constant threats to business services availability. At best, an outage is costly. At worst, data is irretrievable and/or services are unavailable for extended periods of time, causing loss of revenues and customers, damaged business reputations, compliances put at risk, and potential legal ramifications. By partnering with ExaGrid to offer a new DRaaS that supports Veeam, top performance, reliability, and trustworthy DR has never been more easily and cost effectively obtained,” says Matthew Chesterton, CEO of OffsiteDataSync.
Moreover, now customers don’t have to pay a hefty amount for a secondary data center location or to manage an expertise for a DR failover site. After this collaboration, customers now have more options and they can leverage either an ExaGrid appliance onsite or a cloud-based OffsiteDataSync ExaGrid appliance offsite or both for fast and reliable backups and restores.
