Exelis Visual Information Solutions Partners with CloudEO to Offer ENVI
BOULDER, CO: Exelis Visual Information Solutions announces a new partnership with geo-infrastructure as a service provider CloudEO to offer ENVI image analysis software in a virtualized, cloud environment.
The partnership offer consumers an exclusive service that combines geospatial data, geospatial software, and cloud. ENVI software currently available for a minimal subscription fee on the scalable CloudEO infrastructure, allows businesses to plan for future, scale up operations to handle large scale projects and even develop products and services that can be sold to potential customers.
“This option gives Exelis customers the ability to do more with less,” says Stuart Blundell, General Manager and Director of Sales, Exelis VIS. “Cloud technology offers our customers a new way to increase employee collaboration, create efficiencies, simplify IT management and improve organizational access to information.”
ENVI software provides scientifically proven image-analysis results via an intuitive interface — from the geographical information systems analyst who needs to enhance mapping applications for better geographic awareness to the research scientist using imagery to aid in critical discoveries.
The partnership allows the user to access ENVI software via their desktop while leveraging the computational capability of working in the cloud. Customers can sign up for the software based on their project requirements.
“It brings the power of ENVI to the CloudEO platform and offers our customer’s unparalleled possibilities by combining market leading software and content without the need for any specific hardware,” says Dr. Ursula Benz, member of the Board of Management at CloudEO.
