leveraging advanced concepts from business intelligence and data visualizationRALEIGH, N.C.: FM:Systems, a provider of Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), declared the forthcoming availability of version 8.5 of its Web-based FM:Interact Workplace Management Suite. Available from June, FM:Interact version 8.5 will render new features and abilities that will enable organizations to operate their facility portfolios more effectively. This will be achieved through leveraging advanced concepts from business intelligence and data visualization.

“FM:Interact 8.5 gives our clients new capacities to gain control over the reporting and analysis of their facility data” said Michael Schley, CEO and Founder of FM:Systems. “Our new completely coordinated web-based reporting platform and streamlined user interface gives a very configurable icon driven experience.”

Additionally, FM:Interact 8.5 includes a new Space Reservation App which will allow employees to reserve both hoteling and meeting room space all from a handheld device. All along, FM:Systems’ FMx5 floor plan viewer delivers enhancements such as Drag and Drop for room assignment and moves, ad-hoc graphic and greater control over visual output for both FM:Interact and Immobile.

“Given that most businesses operate across multiple facilities, the challenge for companies has been in gaining insights into their under-utilized office and research space. Our company precisely meets these requisites,” states Schley. That said, the company’s integrated suite of powerful web-based facility management tools helps facilities and real-estate professionals improve customer service, reduce costs and increase productivity enterprise-wide.

“We add central value to our client’s operations in the allocation of right seats to people, managing real-estate and getting more out of available space. Microsoft technologies, which we use in our product, are making this feature possible by linking people to the visuals of the floor plans.”
