Fortemedia's SAMsoft Delivers Enhanced Voice Processing Features

SANTA CLARA, CA: Fortemedia, a developer of voice processing solutions and products announces the availability of SAMsoft, a voice processing software package as an embedded Digital Signal Processing (DSP) application on the 6th generation Intel Core Processor platform, redesigned microprocessor architecture with increased CPU and GPU performance and reduced power consumption. This will enable Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to deliver enhanced voice processing features to their clients.

Fortemedia designs technology for cell phones, PCs, headsets, automotive and VoIP applications to deliver improved human-to-human and human-to-machine voice communication efficiency. The SAMsoft is tailored to run on Windows based computer platform. It’s based on Fortemedia’s Advanced Microphone Array Processing (AMAP) technology, a hybrid voice processing system that assimilates spatial filtering, source separation and adaptive statistical signal processing to provide advanced voice and audio capabilities to consumer electronic devices.

SAMsoft embedded DSP product will empower OEMs to offer features such as ambient noise suppression, keyboard sound suppression, voice tracking, far-field voice pickup and improved voice recognition for their client’s voice applications. “We are pleased to bring our advanced voice processing features to Intel platforms.
