Fortinet Joins Hands with Splunk to Scale Down Critical Cyber Threats
SUNNYVALE, CA: Fortinet, a distributor of cyber security solutions is partnering with Splunk- a provider of platform for Operational Intelligence to introduce FortiGate App for Splunk Enterprise which will enable their customers to respond to the vital and time sensitive threats, reducing further risks.
Fortinet offers security appliances and security subscription services for carriers, data centers and enterprises with their extended hardware systems, network software and management and security research capabilities. Its flagship product ‘FortiGate’ a network security platform delivers a line of security and networking functions such as firewall, VPN, anti-malware, intrusion prevention, application control, Web filtering and anti-spam.
Splunk designs software for monitoring and analyzing machine data through a web interface. It detects data patterns, problems and provides metrics to make machine data accessible across an organization. It adorns technology that can be utilized for application management, security and compliance.
Splunk Enterprise, a SaaS solution gives companies in-depth insight of data across on premise, cloud and hybrid environments and helps them to achieve Operational Intelligence by collecting and indexing log and machine data. Its analysis and visualization capabilities empower users with security solutions, IT operational performance and business analysis.
Now, Fortinet and Splunk alliance will facilitate their global customers with better response times and mitigation capabilities through a collaborative security model ‘FortiGate App for Splunk Enterprise’ to defeat rapid cyber threats.
