FotoNation, Socionext to Enhance Computational Imaging in Robotics and Drones
SAN JOSE, CA: FotoNation Limited, provider of computational imaging solutions, teams up with Socionext, provider of advanced System-on-Chip design, technology to introduce better computational imaging to the surveillance, robotics and drone markets.
FotoNation's latest generation Advanced Hardware for Image Processing (AHIP) system, a unique approach to computer vision and image processing has been influential for building Socionext's Milbeaut image processors, the M8M (MB86S27). The technology assures to deliver high video image stabilization, smart geometric correction for large field of view lenses, face detection and recognition, and tracking results that align to optimize the requirements necessary for the cameras system.
