FourKites Partners with McLeod to Implement New Tracking Solution
CHICAGO, IL: FourKites, a provider of ‘Connected Devices’ to the Logistics and Transportation industry, announces technology partnership with McLeod Software, a provider of transportation management software to implement a new tracking solution. The partnership integrates FourKites’ tracking technology with McLeod Software's end-to-end brokerage management software, PowerBroker.
FourKites’ tracking technology is powered by a robust network of 30 GPS providers; the ELD Control Center is the strongest ecosystem of data of its kind for shippers, 3rd party logistics companies, and freight brokers. It integrates with the major transportation management system, which is used by the shippers to notify the arrival and departure of each and every stop. The real-time tracking feed calculates ETA every 15 minutes from traffic to weather conditions and also manages the exceptions, thereby enhancing the customer service.
McLeod’s Power Broker is freight broker software, which offers a fully integrated freight brokerage operations management system and a complete accounting software solution in one package. The functional capability of the software adds modules to the business growth by setting an entirely new standard for ease of use and flexibility.
The partnership’s new tracking solution, eliminates the need for check calls to drivers and dispatchers, and saves both time and money of their customers. Additionally, FourKites’s new App-Less tracking technology is specifically designed to work on both flip phones and Smartphones, with or without GPS, ensuring a quality end-to-end solution for their mutual customers. “We're very pleased with this integration that enables McLeod's brokerage customers to access our most comprehensive, affordable tracking service,” says Mathew Elenjickal, CEO of FourKites.
