SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Using AIS (Automatic Identification System) to address customer demand, Haven has extended its spot market booking for ocean and air services into a fully-automated platform for freight procurement. The cloud based technology turns ships in-to an integral part of the ‘Internet of Things’ ecosystem to retrieve real-time location data enabling customers to track and trace their supply chain.
The Haven platform takes away hassles faced by companies that need international cargo shipping, whose process is often complicated by calls, faxes, and emails to third-party service providers with different pricing models and ways of sharing data. Based in San Francisco and Singapore, Haven gives shippers an online platform to compare and reserve container slots. The company claims to help customer save up to 20 percent of freight management expense.
"Track and Trace gives our customers supply chain visibility while automated procurement enables customers to focus on their core business instead of sourcing freight," said Matthew Tillman, Haven CEO. "Haven is committed to using technology in new ways to help our customers to improve margins and operate more effectively." he added.
Last year, following a successful pilot of air cargo services, the company extended its platform to provide comprehensive logistic solutions to shippers of all sizes.
