General Dynamics Selects Unanet's Employee Timesheet Software to Streamline Administrative Effort
DULLES, VA: Unanet, a provider of cloud and on-premise software for project-based organizations, announces that General Dynamics Mission Systems has opted Unanet’s software as its employee timesheet software system.
General Dynamics Mission Systems develops, builds and delivers mission-critical communications and network technologies, products, and systems. The company serves customers in the defense and government sectors.
An employee timesheet is used to record the amount of time spent by each employee. A timesheet is often a digital document or spreadsheet. Unanet’s web based timesheet software will enable collection of the number of hours spent on a project and will tracking the project effort. The software will act as a supporting system for payroll, invoicing, project accounting, chargeback, and job cost accounting.
Users can configure and customize the timesheet to display the information according to their needs such as location, labor category and paycode, capture comments and change reasons if required, enter time easily and establish approvals by managers, project managers and customers.
The Unanet employee timesheet also allows users to submit leave requests and enforce budgets, periods of performance and capture Entry/Exit information. The timesheet is automated and users can enable reminders with email for timesheet submittal and approvals and check status of timesheet for approvals.
The timesheet software will provide support for organizations in maintaining DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) compliant timekeeping requirements through a single timesheet and help in entering data into multiple back-end accounting systems. The software will also capture all efforts across project and non-project work and offer workflow for reviews and approvals thereby enabling project managers to avoid disparate spreadsheets to manage projects.
The company claims that the timesheet software provides visibility in real time into project hours, status, comments, and costs and reduces costs by over 90 percentage, reduce errors, collects and summarize ETC (Estimated-To-Complete) for a project.
“As a team, Unanet and General Dynamics Mission Systems worked closely together to implement the best functional timesheet software to meet their robust requirements. Unanet continues to drive its product roadmap based on the needs of project driven and professional services organizations supporting the mission of United States Federal Government Agencies,” says Fran Craig, CEO and Founder, Unanet.
