Gooee Partners Nordic to Provide Robust IoT Lighting Solutions

FREMONT, CA: Gooee, a smart lighting ecosystem provider, join hands with Nordic Semiconductor to merge Bluetooth Smart Mesh networking into lighting and sensing platform. The platform aims at creating new value in energy savings and consumer engagement in offices and retail segments.

Gooee focuses on designing, engineering and supply of hardware, software and data management components across the LED lighting value chain. The platform enables enterprise scalability, installation flexibility and communication by using Nordic ultra low power Bluetooth Smart chip. Bluetooth Smart is a short range RF communication technology. The feature comprehends ultra low power consumption, a lightweight protocol stack and simple integration with Bluetooth chips.

The newly featured Bluetooth Smart stack expands to a wide range of hardware devices. The mesh capabilities enhances Gooee’s IoT platform by delivering 80 percent energy savings solution through heightening security from occupancy detection, environment intelligent services and personalized user experience to uphold sales. In addition, it also architects all sectors including industrial, commercial, retail, healthcare and education.

Gooee ecosystem along with Smart Mesh stack, with the help of integrated cloud platform, allows user to enable a single platform in communicating with networking end points, in providing IoT solutions to the lighting sector. The partnership fosters lighting manufacturers to accelerate their product development into intelligent lighting and also offer service- driven value proposition to their customer base.

The Bluetooth Smart features a worldwide 2.4GHz ISM band operation and has high penetration of Bluetooth wireless technology in PC and cellphone markets. Bluetooth Smart also features compatibility with PC/ mobile phone with additional Bluetooth classic/ low energy dual mode solutions.
