Greater Market Prospects for Tekla through its Latest Acquisition

FREMONT, CA: Tekla, provider of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software acquires SVS Innovations’ (SVSi) construction software business and its advanced Field3D mobile technology.

Field3D is comprehensible 3D collaboration software solution for BIM for mobile platform, providing stakeholders in a construction workflow to access complete 3D model information for an entire building on digital devices.

Tekla and SVSi suggest technology that streamlines management of huge amount of data. Tekla’s constructible, accurate models illustrate several complex structures with detailed construction information, whereas Field3D can effortlessly manage 3D models on mobile devices irrespective of their size. The solutions also share an open approach to BIM. Through their support for Industry Foundation Classes and other 3D modeling file formats, they offer vast range of modeling solutions.
