Hitachi ID Releases Identity and Access Management Suite
FREMONT, CA: Hitachi ID Systems- identity management and access governance, privileged access management and password management software vendor announces the release of its Identity and Access Management Suite, version 9.0 together with Hitachi ID Mobile Access for Android and iOS.
Hitachi ID Mobile Access enables access to all product features from phones and tablets. It introduces the ability to feed report output into requests, to automate access remediation. This new release is also featured with many usability enhancements, dashboards and reports.
With the help of Hitachi ID Mobile Access, users can now reach IAM services from their phones and tablets, even when not attached to the corporate network. Communication between the user's device and on-premise IAM system is facilitated by a cloud-hosted proxy service. Also to ensure security, devices must be activated via a scanned QR code.
"Users increasingly access corporate services from their phones. This includes IAM services such as searching for contact information, approving security requests or unlocking forgotten pre-boot passwords," says Idan Shoham, Hitachi ID CTO. "The challenge with mobile access to on-premise IAM services is connectivity. Smart phones and tablets are rarely attached to the corporate WiFi or VPN."
