HotSchedules ACAdvisor Module to Manage Employee Schedules and Working Hours

AUSTIN, TX: HotSchedules, a provider of mobile and web-based employee scheduling solution for restaurant industry, introduces ACAdvisor module to manage schedules and save employee hours with control over labor costs under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Employer Mandate.

With the help of ACAdvisor module, the restaurant and hospitality businesses’ employer can track, manage and monitor ACA employment status and implement intelligent and efficient labor scheduling. The new module will deal with Employer Mandate by addressing the challenge of managing variable hour employees where 40-hours per week employment have been reduced to 30-hours to imply full-time employment. It also makes it necessary for the businesses with 50 or more full-time equivalent employees (FTE) to facilitate health insurance to at least 95 percent of full-time employees and dependents up to age 26 or pay a fee.

Managers now are provided with visibility into the part-time and full-time statuses, measurement, administrative, stability periods and hourly thresholds right from HotSchedules that help them make real-time decision for schedules and ongoing shift trades.

The ACAdvisor module will also swiftly work with the HotSchedules’ Point-of-Sale (POS) Integrated version that brings multiple features such as:

- Custom ACA configuration that sets company-wide measurement, stability and administrative periods designating administrators with employees time to time.

- ACA status management where status adjustment can be made at alerts while setting full-time, part-time and new hire statuses.

- Scheduling will update the employee data including scheduled versus actual hours worked. The developed schedule will be aligned with ACA statuses and labor strategy.

- Reporting and monitoring the full-time and part-time employee analyzed up-to-date workforce data during look-back periods that helps manager make status determinations during admin periods and to have insight over historical changes to employee statuses.
