LAS VEGAS, NV: Updating Helion CloudSystem’s portfolio, HP has come up with the new CloudSystem, version 9.0 by adding support for multiple hypervisors and clouds.  Apart from the release, the company has also made enhancements to Helion Managed Cloud Services which manages enterprise workloads in a hosted cloud environment.

Helion CloudSystem is primarily designed to give end to end, private cloud solution by enabling automation, orchestration and control across multiple workloads and technologies. The technology currently available for purchase, is offered in two versions, ‘CloudSystem Enterprise’ for providing advanced cloud infrastructure services for larger firms and ‘CloudSystem Foundation’ for smaller firms., .

HP's Helion CloudSystem 9.0 is integrated with Helion OpenStack and the Development Platform that has been made available in HP’s two systems, CS200-HC, a system target at SMBs and CS700x/700, for larger organizations.

"Enterprise customers have a range of needs in moving to the cloud -- some need to cloud-enable traditional workloads, while others seek to build next generation 'cloud native' apps using modern technologies like OpenStack, Cloud Foundry and Docker," says Bill Hilf, SVP of HP Helion Product and Service Management.

AWS, Azure, Helion Public Cloud, OpenStack technology and VMware are the foremost benefactors who are all set for the deployment. In order to avoid vendor lock-in, the hypervisor support is now extended to Microsoft Hyper-V, Red Hat KVM, VMware and vSphere as well as bare metal deployments.

Through current projects Swift Object Storage project and Eucalyptus, the platform provides added support for AWS compatible clouds and unstructured data. The company assures flexibility to customers with a plan to deploy existing AWS workloads onto clouds under their control.
