IDTechEx Wearable USA is part of the IDTechEx Show!, the leading event on emerging technologies including electronic textiles, printed electronics, sensors, energy harvesting, energy storage, 3D printing and advanced materials. The wearable technology section has expanded significantly over the last three years, players from around the world descend on the Santa Clara Convention Centerfor two days of exhibition and nine parallel conferences.
This year, 3,000 attendees are expected, coming to see the200 exhibitors and 225 speakersincluding Google, Qualcomm, VF Corp, Unilever, Welspun, Flex, MAS Holdings and more. The atmosphere within the event was described by past exhibitors as “catalytic”, with players from throughout the value chain attending in the thousands to meet, network. No other events pull together such a variety of synergistic topics within a single venue, all curated by the expert analyst team at IDTechEx.
James Hayward, Technology Analyst at IDTechEx, described what to expect at Wearable USA:
“The wearable technology landscape is changing very quickly, and we’ve updated our event to reflect this. While we have curated a unique single track dedicated to wearable technology, the nine parallel tracks at the event are arranged to create as much synergy as possible. For example, companies in the VR & AR space can see a dedicated half-day in the wearable track, but then understand the latest display, energy storage or sensing technology with the parallel tracks throughout the two day event.
“Similarly, for those interested in e-textiles, we also have a dedicated half day looking at both technology and markets. This is a particular highlight for me, with many global leaders including VF Corporation, Flex & MAS Holdings and Welspun all presenting their latest updates in this exciting emerging market. With materials, components, manufacturing, design and markets all covered in detail by global speakers, alongside an exciting exhibition and a brand new dedicated Apparel Zone showing the latest products.”
This format allows the event to evolve with the industries covered, allowing companies to follow and anticipate trends as these industries change and grow. IDTechEx analysts will present throughout the conferences, sharing the latest data as they cover key trends, players and markets within the varied topics at the event.
