RESTON, VA: ikeGPS, the provider of the laser-accurate smartphone measurement solution has partnered with Carahsoft Technology Corp., which happens to be the trusted government IT solutions provider. This will ease deployment of ikeGPS’s innovative solutions throughout the U.S. government. This is expected to be the result of New Zealand’s recent access to World Trade Organization (WTO)’s Government Procurement Agreement (GPA).

The WTO GPA has opened up trade opportunities for organizations such as ikeGPS in U.S., Canada, Japan and other WTO member countries. ikeGPS’s flagship product, Spike—the first laser-accurate smartphone measurement solution has already gained reputation with U.S. government. Applications for Spike covers disaster response, critical infrastructure mapping, facilities management, energy modelling, mission and access planning, crime scene investigation, counter terrorism and so on.

"ikeGPS is now able to sell products manufactured at our New Zealand facility to the U.S. government, an important and growing customer base for us, via Carahsoft and the GSA schedule," says Glenn Milnes, CEO and Managing Director of ikeGPS. "In collaboration with Carahsoft, we look forward to advancing ikeGPS product opportunities and adoption by U.S. government agencies." he adds.

Additionally, ikeGPS has also joined forces with In-Q-Tel a non-profit, strategic investment firm engaged in identifying innovative technology solutions to support the missions of the U.S. Intelligence Community.

Spike enables its users to measure an object simply with a snapshot from a smartphone or tablet. The user can then obtain real-time measurements including height, width, length, and area with target location by analyzing the snapshot and GPS data. Measurements and target locations are saved with the picture and can be delivered in a variety of industry formats.
