LEXINGTON, MA: Imprivata allies with MobileIron AppConnect to deliver standardized security and clinical convenience through secure messaging from mobile devices and tablets, while maintaining policy controls and managing corporate data.

To improve the care coordination among customers, Imprivata—a healthcare IT security company brings its Cortext secure messaging solution to the MobileIron AppConnect Ecosystem to improve care coordination across hospitals, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and other healthcare organizations. Through application programming interface (API), Imprivata Cortext enables critical alerts, scheduling notifications, lab results and other information directly to their preferred device, helping service providers to further improve their care coordination and clinical applications.

“Imprivata Cortext allows healthcare providers to coordinate care across multiple healthcare organizations, thereby reducing re-admissions and maximizing reimbursement. Through real-time access to patient’s information, health providers can provide better patient care, productivity and satisfaction,” says Omar Hussain, President and CEO, Imprivata.

Unlike first-generation secure text messaging products, Imprivata Cortext enables HIPAA-compliant secure text and photo messaging, from multiple devices, which in turn improves the workflow efficiency. Earlier this year, Imprivata Cortext has achieved Service Organization Control’s SOC 2 Type 1 certification—a globally recognized audit standard for service providers.

The Imprivata and MobileIron integration offers healthcare IT with the ability to manage security policies and controls such as PIN lock for keeping the personnel files and medical records confidential for future retrieval, facilitating better focus on patient care.
