InComm and Gemalto Partnership Heightens Security for Prepaid Mobile NFC Payments
FREMONT, CA: A strategic collaboration was announced between InComm, provider of prepaid product and transaction service and Gemalto, a digital security company, to deliver secure prepaid mobile and Near Field Communication (NFC) payments at the retail POS and account top-up through traditional credit and debit cards.
The InComm Mobile Platform (IMP), acts as a hub for all inbound and outbound messaging requests related to the prepaid products in a mobile wallet, including integrations to InComm's internal systems and more than seven partner systems. The portfolio covers switching and processing a wide array of transactions, including card provisioning, card reloads, buying and sending digital cards.
With IMP, InComm is roping in Gemalto’s infrastructure , which boasts of advanced cryptographic software embedded in a variety of objects, to highly robust and scalable back-office platforms for authentication, encryption and digital credential management. The credential management is powered by Gemalto’s dedicated Trusted Service Hub (TSH) and enables the consumer to immediately use their prepaid card for fast and convenient mobile payments at participating retailers.
