SANTA CLARA, CA: Inphi declares the production availability of the low power Clock and Data Recovery (CDR) Retimer for module applications. The company’s high-speed, and mixed signal semiconductor solutions have already been accepted by global market. Recently unlocked IN012525-CQ CMOS CDR has been designed to accelerate multi rate operation of 10G/25G/28G speeds.

"We are excited to advance Inphi's 100G connectivity product roadmap with the production availability of the low power CDR retimer IC for CFP2/CFP4/QSFP28 modules. This CDR retimer IC will relieve the pressure that our customers are under as they continue to push the envelope on lower power as 100G module solutions continue to ramp in the cloud and service provider networks”, says Siddharth Sheth, Vice President, Networking Interconnect, Inphi.

Inphi has been recognized as the provider of high-speed analog semiconductor solutions and high signal integrated platform across enterprises. Its solutions provide a vital interface between analog signals and digital information in high-performance systems, such as telecommunications transport systems, enterprise networking equipment, enterprise and data center servers, storage platforms. The elegant solutions enables companies to roll out next generation communications infrastructure. Its latest solution delivers the industry's most intensive performance metrics on mW/Gbps with a total power of only 370mW. Effective designs of CDR Retimer IC supports continuous self-adapting receivers on all interfaces. It has been modified in a manner that suits high density CFP2 / CFP4 / QSFP28 module applications.

IN012525-CQ CDR Retimer’s elegant features include Reference less clock SerDes architecture and are 100G BASE-LR4/ER4 and OTU4 applications supportive. Its applications support high density 100 Gbps optical modules and line cards with 25-28 Gbps electrical interfaces. The solution offers Quad 25 or 28 Gbps Retimer for use in next generation 100GBASE-LR4/ER4 optical modules without any reference clock.

The CDR has the ability to support OTU4 28 Gbps operation for OTL4.4 including self adaptive receives equalization functionalities. The high resolution of the solution offers Rx eye scan – iSCAN and also provides Loss of Protocol Lock detection.IN012525-CQ CDR endows test pattern generation, checking and monitoring clock output functionalities.
