SANTA CLARA, CA: Intel unleashes its new processors and free cloud services as a comprehensive package for Internet of Things (IoT) marketplace. The new Intel IoT Platform incorporates two reference architectures along with a suite of products which include Intel Quark processors for IoT, cloud suite from Wind River, and analytics.  These products and services are designed to create and secure solutions from smart and connected devices to the cloud.

The IoT platform facilitates Intel ecosystem to develop, secure and integrate smart devices. SAP is the first to deploy Intel IoT Platform to enhance its IoT enterprise end-to-end solutions.

"Today, Intel further solidifies its position in the IoT and continues to deliver a comprehensive set of building blocks with a strong ecosystem to address the IoT opportunity," says Doug Davis, Senior Vice President, IoT Group, Intel. "Intel is making it easier for our customers to scale from things to cloud with new Intel Quark processors for IoT and Wind River's free cloud-connected OS for microcontrollers."

The IoT platform facilitates Intel ecosystem to develop, secure and integrate smart devices. SAP isthe first to deploy Intel IoT Platform to enhance its IoT enterprise end-to-end solutions. One among the key feature included in the new IoT Platform is the Trusted Analytics Platform (TAP). It helps in putting data into use by delivering an end-to-end IoT solution. TAP is built for developers and data scientists making it ideal for industries pertaining to healthcare, retail and industrial. For data management, protocol abstraction, workload distribution and compute, TAP integrates with the IoT platform.

Intel Quark processors for IoT, Intel Quark SE SoC and the Intel Quark microcontroller D1000 and D2000 offer low-power silicon for intelligent things with long life reliability. The Intel Quark SE SoC enables integrated sensor hub and pattern matching technology to gain real time insights from complex sensor data.

The Wind River cloud suite helps developers to seamlessly accelerate IoT application and device development with a minimum 10 minute time to kick start the creation of a new application. The solution incorporates free cloud-connected multi-architecture operating systems, Wind River Rocket and Wind River Pulsar Linux with a cloud suite of software-as-a-service (SaaS) products. It handles everything from experimentation to development aiding customers in the path of commercialization.
