Intergraph Announces SmartPlant Electrical 2015
HUNTSVILLE, AL: Intergraph, an enterprise engineering software solutions provider, announced SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) 2015, an enhanced version of its integrated solutions within the Engineering & Schematics product suite, crafted to assist plant owners in accomplishing business success and focus on electrical power distribution network needs.
The new version of SPEL includes the capability to create intelligent composite graphical data reports for critical projects, ability to import external CAD drawings, creation of multiple electrical systems in batch, replacement of single cable into core cable assembly.
SmartPlant Electrical empowers users to interface with other vendors’ analysis by taking inputs from mechanical drawings and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for design verification. It allows users to create and maintain a safe and reliable power distribution. Users can also add intelligent objects or use the design as-is in the solution to ease design re-use.
SmartPlant Electrical 2015 upgrades the SPEL-ETAP bi-directional interface that permits joint users to use ETAP for modeling, design, analysis and automation. This integrates data into SmartPlant Electrical to increase electrical efficiency for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a plant's life cycle. User experience has been enhanced and it incorporates capabilities such as single item revision tracking and design cases like winter and summer startup to ensure the design is suited for all scenarios.
“Intergraph continues to invest in product development and provide innovative electrical engineering solutions that help our clients meet the challenges they confront,” said Patrick Holcomb, Power & Marine’s EVP of global business development and marketing, Intergraph Process. “SmartPlant Electrical 2015 is the latest example, offering numerous innovative improvements to drive engineering success.”
