BluIP and RLH Corporation has signed on to provide an industry-first Artificial Intelligence (AI) Virtual Agent for Central Reservations to support all 1,400 system hotels. This is because the change in technology changes the expectations of the guests that force hotels to find new ways to connect with them. This announcement follows the successful completion of a three-month program pilot initially announced on April 24, 2019.
The AI virtual agent delivers a more seamless experience for travelers and an opportunity to generate higher revenue for hotel owners. Besides owners, hotel guests are reaping the benefits of having real and unique conversations with the AI. It is evident that if one can tailor a system that caters to the needs of guests based on how they use the products, then the adoptions are much higher.
In collaboration with the systemwide rollout of the Virtual Agent, new features and capabilities have been deployed to support travelers further. The second-generation Virtual Agent added more extensive Central Reservations Systems integration that can support additional hotel information searches while rendering the ability to modify confirm, or cancel reservations. This enhances the Central Reservations Office ticketing system integration to ensure a seamless transfer for the caller to a live agent when necessary.
