Japanese Insurance Co. Deploys Guidewire ClaimCenter for Efficient Claims Management
Tokyo and Froster City, CA–– Guidewire Software announced the full deployment of Guidewire ClaimCenter as new auto insurance claims management system by Mitsui Direct General Insurance Company, early this year.
A major Japanese insurance company under the MS&AD Insurance Group, Mitsui Direct General Insurance Company deployed the ClaimCenter to process new claims at 14 sites in Japan and MSK Anshin Stations K.K., an intragroup call center, who accept accident claims nationwide.
After comparing and considering various claims systems including ClaimCenter, and exploring the options for the existing system upgradation, the company finally settled on to ClaimCenter.
For the first time, the company used Agile in order to develop the “JTS System”, as what the ClaimCenter is called internally at the company, and customize it with business requirements accordingly.
Yojiro Sakai, manager of the claims management department, says, “Adopting Agile methodology was an innovative approach for our company. In particular, we discussed the various functionality and prerequisites needed for our business while actually looking at the screen and we were able to make adjustments along the way as needed.”
ClaimCenter enables the company better communicate with customers based on their preferences thus meeting their expectation by allowing easy access to Mitsui Direct’s online customer support platform; handle claims in a systematic way; gain better insight into auto accident claim; and leverage an enhanced search feature that help find repair shops quickly in the event of accident.
