FREMONT, CA: Jetico, a developer of the best-in-class data wiping software, released the latest BCWipe Enterprise Edition. Administrators are enabled with a remote data wipe feature for chosen files on both HDD and SSD through the use of a web browser, improving the privacy of operating from home.

“Most of us are now quite familiar with working remotely, but being away from the office comes with increased security risks,” explains Michael Waksman, CEO, Jetico. “The new BCWipe Enterprise Edition was designed with this problem in mind. Our solution empowers administrators to manage and control wiping of selected files from the comfort of their homes.”

The remote data wipe feature of BCWipe Enterprise Editions helps administrators to execute wiping activities using a single web browser. By depending on the encrypted HTTPS protocol, client workstations and computers with the Jetico Central Manager (JCM) Console connect safely with the JCM Server.  Furthermore, with BCWipes Reserved Space Planner, wiping activities on SSD can be done more efficiently than ever. The Jetico Central Manager administrators will remotely allow this revolutionary feature on client workstations.

“There is a myth that wiping all traces of an individual file is not possible on SSD,” says Waksman. “Not only does BCWipe make this possible, but users can also wipe free space more efficiently. Jetico’s innovative Reserved Space Manager will save significant time for wiping free space by preserving previously wiped space in a clean state.”

Enterprise Edition’s new features include position-based access management, which administrators can set up to delegate roles and assign access to the JCM Console based on a person’s job.  Administrators will also have more in-depth power, from exploration to reporting, over the whole wiping process. In real-time, the status of wiping tasks is shown, and records for any running or finished tasks can be viewed. This technological gain would give accurate statistics to admins on any PC with wiping-related stats.

For over 20 years, Jetico has been trusted by some of the world’s largest security organizations, like the U.S. The Defense Department and the Energy Department. BCWipe maintains data stays private, and consumers comply with all applicable privacy laws by using military-standard techniques to clean files outside forensic retrievals, such as in response to classified data spills.
