IT has embarked on a new paradigm with cloud computing. Climbing the bandwagon is the telecom sector which has identified network function virtualization (NFV) to hold great promises for the industry. To further strengthen the virtualized network functions, Nokia Networks has collaborated with HP for joint telco cloud solution compliant with ETSI NFV principles. The solution will provide telecommunications operators with an open source-based cloud to quickly deploy their NFV instances and deliver new offerings at a faster pace.
