Juniper Networks Packs More Power in its Security Gateway Solution
FREMONT, CA: Juniper Networks announces new additions to its SRX5800 gateway that enables its firewall to deliver up to 2 Terabits per second (Tbps) throughput. The new hardware enhancements for SRX5800 Services Gateway security platform ensures enhanced Internet Mix (IMIX) firewall efficiency catering to the growing demands of enterprises.
The Juniper Networks SRX5800 Services Gateway comprises of features such as next generation firewall, intrusion prevention system (IPS) and unified threat management solution. The latest additions to the gateway include:
A third generation input/output cards (IOC3); improved midplane chassis; and third-generation system control boards (SCB3).
With these new additions, Juniper Networks delivers unprecedented speed, better infrastructure and application performance to secure customers’ data and infrastructure.
Each IOC3 line card supports two packet forwarding engines (PFE), delivers 240Gbps bandwidth and twice the bandwidth increase over the prior hardware card. These cards have two 100GbE and 4 10GbE high speed interfaces.
